What is the TRF Full Form in IELTS?
The TRF full form in IELTS stands for Test Report Form. It is the official document that contains your IELTS result, including your overall band score and individual scores for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
IELTS TRF Meaning
The IELTS TRF is essentially your official IELTS result certificate. Each candidate is issued only one original TRF, which remains valid for two years.
If you are applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA), you can request two TRFs, provided you submit proof of your application.
Up to five copies of your Additional TRFs (ATRFs) can be sent directly to institutions listed on your IELTS application form. Regular postage is free, but courier or international delivery may incur extra charges.
What is an Additional Test Report Form (ATRF)?
An Additional Test Report Form (ATRF) is issued when you need more copies of your IELTS TRF beyond the initial five free ones.
You can request ATRFs from the test centre where you took the exam.
An administration fee is charged for each additional TRF.
If you lose your TRF, you must contact your test centre immediately.
Many universities and organizations are subscribed to receive IELTS scores electronically, so you may not always need a physical copy.
To collect your TRF from a test centre, you must bring the same ID proof you used during test registration.
Important: IELTS test centres are not authorised to share results via email, phone, or fax. You must access them through the official IDP IELTS result TRF download portal or collect them directly.
