How do I login to the candidate portal?

To access the IELTS IDP India candidate portal, follow these steps:
1. Visit the homepage: Navigate to https://ieltsidpindia.com/.
2. Access candidate login: Click on the "Candidate Login" option located at the top right corner of the homepage.

I don’t have my username; how can I retrieve it?

If you've forgotten your username, you can retrieve it by:
1. Clicking on "Forgot Username?": On the Candidate Login page, select the "Forgot Username?" option.
2. Providing required information: Enter your passport number and date of birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format) as provided during registration.
3. Submitting the details: Click the "Submit" button. If the information matches, your username will be displayed on the screen.

Password Issues

How do I generate/reset my password for my login?

To generate or reset your password:
1. Navigate to "Forgot Password?": On the Candidate Login page, click on the "Forgot Password?" option.
2. Enter your username: Provide your username and click "Submit".
3. Check for reset link: A message will confirm that a reset link has been sent to your registered email address. Ensure your pop-up blocker is disabled.
4. Reset your password: Check your email for the reset link, follow it, and enter a new password that meets security criteria. Confirm the password and submit.

I clicked on "Forgot Password" but haven’t received the link on my email id, what do I do?

If you haven't received the password reset link in your email:
1. Check spam/junk folders: The email might have been filtered into these folders.
2. Verify registered email Ensure you're checking the correct email account registered with IELTS.
3. Disable email filters: Some filters might block such emails; consider adjusting them temporarily.
4. Contact support If the issue persists, reach out to IELTS IDP India support at 1800-102-4544 or ielts.india@idp.com.

Email Issues

How can I update the email id associated with my IELTS account?

To update the email ID associated with your IELTS account:
1. Initiate email update request: On the Candidate Login page, click on the "Click Here" option (in red text) to update your alternate email ID.
2. Provide necessary details Enter your username and the new alternate email ID.
3. Upload required documents: Upload a clear copy of your passport's first and last pages (maximum file size: 1MB).
4. Complete CAPTCHA: Enter the displayed CAPTCHA code.
5. Submit the request: Click "Submit." You'll receive an on-screen confirmation with a request number

What documents are required to request an email id update?

Required documents for updating your email ID: A clear, scanned colour copy of your passport's first and last pages.

How long will it take for my email id to get updated?

Requests are typically validated and processed within one working day. After updating your email address, you can follow the password reset process as previously outlined.
