IELTS Exam Cancellation Fees

1. Cancellation- IELTS on Paper/ IELTS on Computer:

• Candidate can apply for cancellation only if the test date is at least 9 days or more from the date on which you are applying for cancellation.

• If the application for cancellation is received less than 9 days prior to the test date, 25% of the test fee will be charged and the balance of IELTS test fees inclusive of all taxes will be refunded to the candidate within 7 to 10 working days from the date of application.

• You can only request cancellation by providing supporting documents, which will be subject to approval and cancellation will be done once your request is approved.

2. Cancellation- IELTS for UKVI/ IELTS Life Skills:

• Candidates can apply for cancellation and refund either through the Candidate Login section or by submitting the Test Date Transfer & Cancellation/Refund Application Form to the Centre.

• If the request is received at least 14 days prior to the test date, 25% of the test fee will be deducted, and the remaining amount including applicable taxes will be refunded within 7 to 10 working days from the date of request.

• Detailed Cancellation & Refund Policy:

  • More than 14 days before the test: 75% refund of the total test fee

  • Within 14 days but more than 2 days before the test: 50% refund of the total test fee

  • Within 2 days of the test date: 25% refund of the total test fee

  • On the test day or after the test: No refund will be issued.

Important Note: “In the case of a minor test taker, if a valid identity document of the parent or lawful guardian, as the case may be, is not received by IDP India on or before the test day, the Test Taker will not be permitted to appear for the test. In such instances, 75% of the test fee will be refunded."

3. Cancellation- IELTS One Skill Retake:

• Candidates can apply for cancellation and refund through the Candidate Login section.

• If the cancellation request is received at least 4 days prior to the test date, 25% of the test fee will be deducted as a processing charge. The remaining amount, inclusive of all applicable taxes, will be refunded within 7 to 10 working days from the date of application.

• For requests received less than 4 days prior to the test date, no refund will be issued.
